Recently, I had the honor of facilitating an Art + Healing creative wellness gathering hosted by Embarc Collective for its founders, innovators, and community members. The gathering brought together Embarc members alongside women working in tech, entrepreneurship, and leadership for an afternoon centered on reflection, creativity, and connection.

Designed as a gentle approach to goal setting, the experience invited members to step out of constant execution mode and into presence. We began with guided journaling to explore what each person wants to cultivate in the year ahead (both professionally and personally) without pressure, timelines, or expectations. From there, we moved into an intuitive watercolor painting session, using art as a way to access clarity, regulate the nervous system, and think more expansively about growth.

Throughout the gathering, conversation flowed naturally across the tables. Members connected with one another while painting, sharing stories, and exchanging perspectives across industries and stages of business. The Art + Healing Creativity + Connection Cards were placed throughout the space and used for journaling prompts, creative painting inspiration, or gentle conversation starters that helped deepen dialogue between attendees.

Rather than focusing on outcomes or productivity, the experience centered on sustainability: how founders and leaders can support their well-being while building meaningful, resilient companies. The room was filled with thoughtful conversation, creative exploration, and a sense of ease that allowed people to show up as whole humans, not just operators and do-ers.
